Get Yourself Shipshape

John West needed to modernise its position in the minds of younger health-conscious consumers looking for fresh, convenient meal options to support their healthy lifestyles.


The rise in popularity of outdoor swimming offered a natural opportunity for John West to start a meaningful conversation. To build credibility in the healthy, active lifestyle space, Finn worked with John West to help them become the title sponsor of the Great Swim Series, the UK’s biggest open water swimming events, and launch the Get Yourself Shipshape campaign.


Finn conducted research into consumer attitudes towards healthy, active lifestyles, and the nation’s relationship with swimming, to help launch the campaign in May 2019 with national media. The media launch was supported by the campaign's ambassador, two-time Olympic gold medalist Rebecca Adlington.


Athlete adventurer Ross Edgley and Rebecca worked with John West to create engaging social media content that supported John West's nutritional credentials and encouraged their audiences to get Shipshape.
